How they work
A current sensor wires in series with a load, like a dryer. When the load draws current above a set threshold, the sensor triggers a secondary circuit (the exhaust fan). When the load stops, the fan stops , or runs on for a set period if you choose the run-on timer option.
No modification to the appliance. No manual input.
Common applications
- Apartment laundries, trigger exhaust automatically when a dryer runs, preventing moisture and mould build-up.
- Rangehoods, detect when the fan is actually running (not just the light) and turn on a booster fan accordingly.
- Bathrooms and commercial facilities, tie ventilation to equipment operation rather than a wall switch.
